Born in Barking on 7 October 1991. Christian is a central defender, who began his career at Arsenal's academy before joining Bishop's Stortford. He then decided to study for a History degree at the University of Birmingham, earning a trial with Middlesbrough during his second year which led to a two-year contract in July 2012. Christian spent the 2013-14 season on loan at Hartlepool United before going on loan to Peterborough United in August 2014. This loan quickly became a permanent move. Christian signed a three-year contract with Pompey on 25 June 2015.

After being voted 2019-20 Player of the Season, Christian left Pompey in July 2020 to sign for Belgian club Royale Union Saint-Gilloise. He leaves with fans' heartfelt appreciation for his service and commitment to Pompey, including his unstinting community work.
